Switch bookkeeper without interruption
Switching costs you one signature. We request the data and DATEV records from your previous advisor and continue booking seamlessly.
How switching works
Quote and agreement online
You answer a short questionnaire and sign digitally in the client portal.
Authorisation to request data
Already part of the contract documents. You terminate your previous advisor yourself; we give you a short template letter.
We collect the data
Chart of accounts, balances, open items and the DATEV records. For payroll also the figures of the current year.
Reconcile opening balances
We check whether bank, open items and balances match and show you anything that stands out.
Continue booking
From the agreed month, your bookkeeping runs with us. No gap for VAT returns and payroll.
When to switch?
Easiest at the turn of a month or quarter. Mid-year works too. If months are left unprocessed at your previous advisor, we catch up on them as part of our catch-up bookkeeping.
What it costs
We include the takeover from your previous advisor in your quote.
Open invoices with your previous advisor should be settled beforehand, otherwise the handover may be delayed.
Frequently asked questions on switching
Do I have to terminate my tax advisor?
Only for the tasks we take over. If you want to keep your tax advisor for annual accounts and tax returns, we work with them.
How long does the handover take?
Usually one to three weeks, depending on how quickly the previous advisor releases the data.
What if the previous advisor does not respond?
We remind them in writing. Until the data arrives, we continue booking from your bank statements so that no deadline is missed.
